As part of our efforts to involve the local community with the changes on the coast and keep them informed of the changes we will be producing a number of newsletters. The first of these came out in Autumn 2006 and was distributed free to every household in Whitehaven. This gave a broad outline of the vision for the coast, explained who the various organisations involved were and also contained a questionnaire to guage how people felt about the coast and how they would like to see it develop in the future. The second newsletter was distributed in January 2008. It contained updates on the Rhodia site, community involvement in different apects of the project, the Whitehaven Coast website and details of the improvement work that commenced at the northern half of the site at the start of 2008.
